Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
This gathering includes breakfast, prayer, music and a message designed to spotlight the importance of prayer in our lives.

Keynote Speaker: Joe Phillips
Parkwood Baptist Church Deaf Ministry will provide interpretive sign language. Joe Phillips spreads the Word in a variety of ways. He communicates at camps, conferences and conventions throughout the United States and in overseas outreach. He trains communicators, acts, writes, does fundraising for great organizations and does comedy events. Joe and his wife Cecilia have four children and reside near Charlotte NC.
