Bible Study

We have many opportunities to develop your spirit at the Y, from Bible Studies to prayer breakfasts and more. We have several churches that hold their worship services at our branches on Sunday mornings and we hold a wonderful breakfast on the National Day of Prayer. Learn more about all of our opportunities.

Starting Point

Starting Point is an eight session class beginning on Thursday evening, September 6, 2018 at the West Cabarrus YMCA.

We welcome you to come together in a small group (10-12 people); in a conversational environment to discuss questions you may have regarding your faith journey. People who benefit from this class include those with the following life experiences:

Anyone who has grown up in a non-religious family and does not have a faith framework (reference point).

Anyone who had a faith framework growing up but has walked away from their faith/church due to life experiences, perceived lack of relevance, etc.

Anyone who has ever had their faith challenged, including college students who are trying to reconcile their faith/belief system with what they are experiencing in the college or university environment.

Anyone seeking an environment where they can ask challenging/difficult questions about God, Christianity and the Bible and yet may be hesitant to ask these questions in a more formal setting.

When: Starting Point Class will meet 6:15 - 7:45pm on these tentative dates - September 6, 13, 20; October 4, 11, 25; November 1, 8 and possibly November 15. (Childcare provided 6 - 7:45pm.)
