All proceeds will go towards our Annual Support Campaign which allows families and members of the community to participate in YMCA programs through financial assistance.

Teams will be assigned a country to represent for World Cup Change Wars. Teams will start practice by being introduced to what “Welcome Week” is at the Y, learning how to say “welcome” in their country’s official language, and will be encouraged to wear any international gear/ the colors of their country’s flag at practice that week! Teams from the same “country” will have their total funds pulled together to award a World Cup Winner!

    Lobby Display
We will place Change Wars Boxes in the lobby for members that want to participate. They can “vote” for their favorite team with their change, and give money for particular country-teams with a display about Change Wars and Y Sports (could coincide with basketball registration promotion).

Day of Prayer Logo

Thursday, May 2 | The Speedway Club
Doors open at 7:15am | 8:00-9:00am

We would like to invite you to attend our annual YMCA National Day of Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 2 at The Speedway Club located on the 6th floor of 5555 Concord Parkway South at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Each year we pray for our country, government and community. It is truly a wonderful way to start the day and a reminder that God is still in control.

Our theme for 2019 is “Love One Another” based upon the words of Jesus in John 13:34, which says, “Love one another. Just as I have loved you.”

As flourishing life always followed in the wake of Jesus, His call to us as individuals, churches, companies, and corporations is to love as He did. Only by surrendering to His Lordship over us, will this love ever be possible.

Doors will open at 7:15am. Attendees will enjoy a buffet breakfast and program from 8am to 9am consisting of praise worship, prayers from community leaders and a message from our keynote speaker.

Tickets

$18/person or a table for 10 is $180.
You can register at any of the Cannon Memorial YMCA Branches (West Cabarrus, Harrisburg or Kannapolis) or mail checks to the Cannon Memorial YMCA at PO Box 46, Kannapolis, NC 28082 attention Debbie Owens.
