Y Success Stories

When I first read about My Next Level, I saw it as a way to get started on being healthier without killing myself with goals that were too strenuous.  I am happy to say that having my checkins with Amy were the most motivating part of this program for me.  Those weigh in “truth moments” with her were an inspiration and encouragement to keep me going through the 6-week program.  The exercises and routines were highly achievable and I plan to continue working on them through the winter months.  I would be happy to sign up for another 6-week program to balance out the upcoming holiday indulgences.  Thank you YMCA for offering a program for success for me!

before afterIn April of 2016, the Y's healthy living staff developed a 12-week transformation program for members that included an initial weigh-in and a consultation to set goals for diet and exercise. The program also included an invitation to members to weigh in with a fitness staff person once a week over the 12-week period to evaluate progress and offer encouragement.
