Competitive Swim Training: Stroke Clinic
Available at the West Cabarrus Branch
The COMPETITIVE STROKE CLINIC is for swimmers 6-18 years old who have previously swam on a swim team, either summer league or competitive, or who have completed Stage 6: Stroke Mechanics in the YMCA’s Swim Lesson Curriculum. This is not a learn to swim program. The Stroke Clinic is an extension of an advanced swimmer education and is designed to assist swimmers in refining their competitive strokes. This seven week clinic will focus on building speed and endurance for competitive summer swim leagues.
Must be able to continuously swim 25 yards of both Freestyle and Backstroke.
Must be able to continuously swim 50 yards of all 4 competitive strokes.

Aquatic Conditioning is a program that focuses on continuing to build endurance and stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as a part of a healthy lifestyle.
