Competitive Swim Training: Stroke Clinic

The COMPETITIVE STROKE CLINIC is for swimmers 6-18 years old who have previously swam on a swim team, either summer league or competitive, or who have completed Stage 6 Stroke Mechanics in the YMCA’s Swim Lesson Curriculum. This is not a learn to swim program. The Stroke Clinic is an extension of an advanced swimmer education and is designed to assist swimmers in refining their competitive strokes. This seven-week clinic will focus on building speed and endurance for competitive swimming.

PREREQUISITES
Level 1:
Must be able to continuously swim 25 yards of both Freestyle and Backstroke.
Level 2:
Must be able to continuously swim 50 yards of all four competitive strokes.

REGISTRATION DATES
Members: July 15-Aug 23
Non-Members: July 29-Aug 23

The boards of directors of the YMCA of Rowan County and Cannon Memorial YMCA of Cabarrus County have voted to merge effective January 1, 2020. The new Association will be called Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA.
